In early 2009 PKF were experiencing problems with their M & E Contractor at one of their regional offices. Poor maintenance and failure with plant resulted in Murdock Heating being invited to assist.
Murdock's have undertaken replacement of major plant and the monthly M & E maintenance since that time.
Sometimes our experience has been that contractors see the maintenance element of a contract as a means of developing a guaranteed revenue stream, Murdock is mindful of this aspect and also work with us on a monthly maintenance programme. Together with regular site reviews and reporting explanations in detail what they propose and why.
In addition to the excellent workmanship which involved the initial plant being installed, this factor has allowed the two companies to build a trusting partnership and a strong relationship with the FM team. Murdock's demonstrated a clear awareness of the effects of disruption to the day-to-day business function and have been flexible in their approach to out of hours support and the importance of ensuring that work does not impact the business day.
With any programme of work the budgeting process is essential and with clear quotations Murdock's committed and delivered the works on time and on budget
All the above has resulted in a good working relationship and other offices being managed by Murdock on an ongoing basis.
